Sivas

Sivas: These carpets are made in and around the city of Sivas in central Turkey. The most important features of Sivas carpets are its wool, dense weaving and thick appearance. The thread is folded and thick. The carpets are mostly woven with the Persian knot. We can see the Iran and the Seljuq embroideries in Sivas carpets. Another feature is the choice of the colours. They do not use opposite colours. There are at least 12 colours and most of them are dark blue, red and its tones.
