Collection of Baþmakçı hand made carpets is a new version of Sümer Kars type carpets prepared considering the innovations in today?s market. This collection is composed of the use of traditional motifs on plain and blank surfaces by inspiring from the regular figure characters on the carpets of Kars, which are composed of local and traditional motifs of Caucasian Turkmen communities. The motifs of Kars vicinity used on surfaces and borders of the carpets are applied on this new type with pastel and pale colors for today?s modern residences, and thus created a new style very different from regular carpets of Kars.
